I've joined a group of 10 women "of a certain age" who want to roller skate in next year's 4th of July Parade in our small town. We're all buying skates in the lower price range until we know if we can pull this off! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the skates I bought (along with knee and elbow pads, which we all agreed we needed as beginners) and a size 7 (my shoe size) was fine, leaving enough room for the proper socks. The skates are comfortable, and appear to be suitable for our wish to simply roll down the 1.5 mile parade course on fairly smooth concrete. Years ago, I was a pretty proficient skater at an indoor roller rink, so we'll see--if like bicycle riding--"you never forget how to skate." Wish us luck!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I BOUGHT THE SKATES FOR MY DAUGHTER AND INSTANTLY WANTED TO KEEP THEM FOR MYSELF. THOUGH SHE IS 11, WE WEAR THE SAME SIZE. SHE IS STILL GROWING SO I DIDN'T WANT TO PAY A LOT OF MONEY AND THESE WERE PERFECT. THEY WERE COMFORTABLE AND I DIDN'T FEEL WORRIED ABOUT HER HAVING SUPPORT AS SHE SKATES. I AM NOW LOOKING FOR MY OWN PAIR.
