i skate a few times a week, just got back into it. never had my own wheels, but this skate is very nice. the wheels the raven came with are very fast. i like the bearings, so if you want to go fast, this is your vehicle. because the raven had a taller wheel (62 mm) i am able to order an outdoor wheel that the skate is already set up for. i had to loosen the trucks a bit and that helped my balance to be 100% better. while i like the classic women's skate look, i wish this skate was a bit lower cut for myself. the leather on this skate is heavy, very nicely padded, and seems snug as far as width goes, but i am hoping this will loosen up to form fit to my foot like a glove, or sock! (i wear an average width) sizing seems to be true to size. i wear a size 8 in every shoe and this fit great. i have been using a leather conditioner pretty heavy to soften the leather and this has helped the break in process considerably. i personally would recommend this skate to anyone looking to get a great quality skate that i am sure will last a long time. seems it is very well made. the trucks are nylon, which is a bit lighter, and probably durable enough for the everyday casual skater. i don't do jumping or anything like that. the price was a reasonable investment, midrange. i got a great skate without spending $800. looking forward to enjoying these for many years.
